This position includes assisting individuals in the community or in their homes, teaching them life skill and assisting individuals out in the community.  

This position includes driving up to a 14 passenger van and picking clients up and dropping them off at their homes after they attend the Adult Day Training Program. 

This position includes simple meal       preparation, being a companion,          

running errands, doctor appointments, cooking and cleaning,

This position includes teaching music, arts and crafts, reading, social and life skills, assisting with all student needs, and using an educational curriculum.

This position includes assisting an individual to live in their own home by teaching life skills, money management, healthcare management, participation 

and community access.

This position includes assisting an individual at their work place teaching the development of resume, interview skills, new job skills, and helping them maintain and refine current job skills.

All staff must have a level two background screening performed. This includes fingerprinting, affidavit of good moral character notarized, and local criminal history background check.

All prospective staff are required to come
in and volunteer with clients so that they can be observed and make sure this job
is a right fit for them. 

Agency for Persons with Disabilities has strict guidelines that must be followed. Documentation of all activities, assisting and teaching individuals, and being committed to focusing on the individual

 that one is working with.

All staff must be trained according to the regulations set forth by the Agency for Persons with Disabilities. All staff are required to take HIPPA, HIV/AIDS,

Zero Tolerance for Abuse, 

 and Direct Care Core Competency.  

All staff are required to have current 

CPR, First Aid and AED certification

 in case of an emergency.
